European renewable energy company Recom Solar together with U.S. developing company, BQ Energy, completed the installation of 4.07 MW PV plant in Olean, New York State.
The project is in 75 percent ownership of Recom and 25 percent of BQ Energy. Both companies cooperated closely on the installation, that is covered by a 25 years Power Purchase Agreement with the City of Olean. The project is one among four large solar installations with a total capacity of 28 MW Recom is completing in NY State. The installation comprises of 11,808 Recom monocrystalline solar modules, 345 W each. The PV project is built on a brownfield site, historically part of a petroleum tank farm and refinery that was operated from the late 1800s until the 1950s by the predecessors of Exxonmobil.
