The simple DS335 is a low-cost 3 MHz function generator which is utilized in ATE or general benchtop applications. The DS335 has been based on Direct Digital Synthesis (DDS) architecture and includes features that are not usually incorporated in function generators of the same price range. The DS335 offers basic functions including sine waves and square waves up to 3.1 MHz, and triangles and ramps up to 10 kHz. It also includes a 3.5 MHz Gaussian white-noise generator. Every function can be swept linearly or logarithmically in a phase-continuous fashion across the entire frequency range. The beginning of a sweep is marked by a rear-panel SWEEP output which enables the synchronization of external devices. Bidirectional and unidirectional sweeps can be selected. The output frequency can be rapidly toggled between two preset values due to internal and external FSK modes.
