Description
The DLPD gives protection over distance for HV and EHV transportation lines. It can be utilized for single or three phase tripping usages. It incorporates four zones of distance protection. User-chosen pilot strategies are given with step distance backup. Ground instantaneous and time overcurrent time operations are individually chosen to be either directional or non-directional. Phase overcurrent backup is also provided, and incorporates a non-directional immediate operation. Under voltage is given as well as potential fuse failure detection logic is provided. The DLPD has better speed tripping, about 0.75 to 1.5 cycles, and out of step shielding.
